	Briefs The Postsecondary Student Migration Report the Minnesota Private College Research Foundation shows that Minnesota was a “net exporter” of first-year college students in 2007-08. Demystifying College Costs: What Consumers Want to Know reports on focus group findings from the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities. Vanishing Graduates & Minnesota’s Future, the program produced by the Minnesota Private College Council in partnership with TPT's Minnesota Channel, is up for an Emmy Award in the independent public affairs category. A winner will be named Oct. 25. Dan Whalen has been named interim president at of Saint John’s University, replacing Br. Dietrich Reinhart who resigned due to health issues. Reinhart will serve as founding director of a new Benedictine Institute and will be the inaugural holder of the Chair of Benedictine Culture and Life. A new College Board report, Fulfilling the Commitment: Recommendations for Reforming Federal Student Aid, calls for a set of policies that would change how students and their families prepare for college.
